Thursday, November 5, 2009 – Millerbernd Lighting, Winsted, MN, announced the offering of an LED Retrofit Solution for existing street and park post top fixtures.

In partnership with a Minneapolis based Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) Millerbernd now provides a customizable and energy efficient platform utilizing Phillips Lumileds LUXEON® Rebel LEDs which replaces light sources in existing globes, acorns and lantern style outdoor post top fixtures. According to Mitch Gaida, Millerbernd Lighting’s national sales director, “This partnership has created an opportunity for us to enter into a new LED market where more of our lighting representatives, and the customers they serve, can experience Millerbernd’s commitment to delivering custom lighting solutions and exceptional customer support.”

Their patent pending heat sink/reflector design has undergone extensive thermal testing in a variety of existing luminaries and outdoor environments, and in each instance has met or exceeded all customer expectations including:
