Corporate Site Lighting

Project Overview:

In August 2010, Sensus LLC chose Millerbernd Lighting to create a signature lighting solution for their plant expansion. The project goal was to design a series of stainless steel area fixtures and LED bollards that complemented the new entrance, landscaping and the Sensus corporate image. The owner was committed to a warm, safe and inviting appearance without adding unnecessary light to the night sky. The parking area was designed to eliminate up-light with the goal to maximize the light at the parking area surface.

Project Solution:

Upon evaluation of the site plan by Millerbernd Lighting, a custom solution was engineered and implemented. In order to reduce overall costs, the engineering staff evaluated the photometric requirements of the parking area at Sensus LLC. The project consisted of two key components, illuminating the parking area, as well as providing safe and secure pathway lighting. We were able to achieve the customer’s expectations by designing a unique architectural standard to the specific height, and arm angle to efficiently cover the parking areas on site.

In addition, Sensus’ corporate logo was laser cut into the face of the stainless steel metal halide fixtures with a transparent color inset that matched the corporate logo when backlit. The environmentally friendly design efficiently illuminated the parking area and pathway while maintaining a Dark Sky compliant application and incorporating energy efficient LED lighting.
